The WHY of CLLCTV

CLLCTV

Muhammad Ali once said, “What you’re thinking is what you’re becoming”.  In my opinion, truer words have never been spoken.

The mind is an extremely powerful thing that very few individuals in society can truly take advantage of.  I think everyone has tapped in to the potential of the mind in some shape or form. No matter how big or small, everyone has told themselves that they would accomplish something and eventually it was manifested.  If you haven’t ever experienced something like this, either you’re lying or you should probably get your ass out of the little bubble you live in.

With that in mind, we feel that in order to be the best versions of ourselves, we want to maximize the strength of our minds.  This can be accomplished through the use of a variety of tools. These tools are practices that leave a positive impact on you once you go through them and come out on the other side.  They are not things that can be done overnight and they usually involve some sort of challenge, whether it be internal or external. Things like working out, nutrition, trail running, yoga, reading, painting, or public speaking.

Each member of our collective specializes in their own realm. From fly-fishing or hunting to composing musical performances, and just about everything in between, each of us has our own personal calling.  That diversity is part of what makes a tribe so strong.  But what we all have in common is a desire to reach.  So although we may have different focuses in life, we are all able to get together and help one another reach a new level of personal growth.  We have found that the best way for us to achieve this level of growth is through exercise and nutrition.

Both of these practices (exercise and nutrition) can be done on your own, but they seem to be just a bit more enjoyable when you surround yourself with like minded individuals. That last rep is a little easier when you have someone supporting you and telling you to dig deep and it’s definitely a little nicer when your friends want to go get dinner at a local farm to table place rather than McDonald’s.

We all have our comfort zones, and I hate to break it to you, but the best thing you can do is get out of it.  Now no matter who you are, that’s not easy. Trying to accomplish something that you’ve never done before is not simple.  It’s a grueling process. But the process is what it’s all about. It’s within the process that you learn where your strengths and weaknesses truly lie.  So the more you can push yourself out of your comfort zone, the better off you will be.

And again, this is where the collective comes in.  It’s much easier to take that big first step or to keep moving forward when you know you have a safety net of supportive individuals behind you.  People who will help pick you back up and dust you off, then tell you to get your ass back out there. And that’s what KTR CLLCTV is all about.
